Children's Book Fair Free & Open to the Public
Join us as we celebrate children's literature at the Children's Book Fair on Saturday, January 14 at the Sheraton Iowa City Hotel.
Educators, librarians, authors, illustrators, publishers, bookstores, parents, and, of course, children will gather together to recognize the important role of literature in the development of children's literacy, imagination, and love of reading.
Come discover a new book, play with some of your favorite storybook characters, attend a reading from a local author or celebrity, and be inspired by the variety of programming and workshops throughout the day! A full schedule of the day's activities can be found in the schedule of events.

Great Authors
One of the goals of One Book Two Book is to celebrate children’s literature authors and illustrators who live and work in our community. We are thrilled to welcome 10 notable guests to join Kathryn Erskine for readings and signings throughout the day. A signing will follow each 20 minute reading.

Give someone the gift of the book by donating your favorite childhood story to these fantastic organizations. A collection booth will be set up inside of the Children’s Book Fair.
Read a free online book today, and help donate one thousand new books to youth in Iowa City, the United States' first UNESCO City of Literature.
The Pearson Foundation We Give Books initiative kicked off a book drive that will donate a thousand new books to youth in Iowa City by creating an online reading campaign from January 1 through 15, 2012 as part of the One Book, Two Book Children’s Literature Festival. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
Pick up your complimentary ticket to the 4:00pm screening of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs at the Englert Theatre.
Tickets will be distributed at the Children’s Book Fair. Although admittance to the show is free, seating is limited. Limit four tickets per family.
